As we all know I have now began to lead Word Prayer Meeting. Ideas bounce around in my mind of what to do, what assignments to give people, and well, just what to say. I have found that I can, quite easily come up with pretty good ideas, (unless of course I’m not in a spiritual mood). Right now, here are some stats…

I asked the question (raise your hand if type thing) who here has, in the past week, felt as if they advanced in their walk with Christ, and nine out of the eleven (eleven being a low attendance, very not average) raised their hands. The other two, J*** & B****, raised their hands. B**** tried saying she hadn’t declined at all in her walk, but hadn’t advanced at the same time, we all know this to be impossible. Its okay B****, just get on it. J*** had other problems, which would just break your heart, if J*** wanted you to know, he would tell you.

Then I continued to ask the people who are doing good (whom I call the Stronglings) what they have been doing to advance their walk, or why they felt this way. Tom Smith said he has been going to work with Greg Morscher, where Greg would play teachings, or they would have good, deep talks. Tom is starting to listen to others, instead of doing everything on his own.

Kyle said he has began to read “Body Life“, while outlining the entire book. He said he feels that writing things down helps him remember stuff, so he is going to write down the entire book.

Jordan is attempting to become more Christ-like by finally attempting to memorize his verses, and be less of an a-hole (those are his words).

Anyway, I asked if anyone has noticed any of the changes we spoke about at the retreat, go into place, anytime lately. Sean continuously named things that had nothing to do with our home church, they were joyous events, but “sorry Sean not now”. But since the people there were so struggling to come up with answers, I said hey what about that Jordyn chick, she told Keith at CT in front of everyone that coming around has made her once again believe in God. And then Adi yells - “What about FUMI!”. Okay yeah Fumi got saved - cool beans.

We then prayed… prayed …. prayed, then I gave out the assignments. Kyle was to look up the movie times (which i missed because I was serving a brother and they didn’t tell me what theatre it was). Jeff was to memorize John 11:35, and both B**** and J*** were to come to the next prayer meeting with a news update on how they attempted to advance in their walk with Christ, and if they were successful.

We shall see what happens in the future, and wether B**** and J*** recover from their somewhat disastrous downward spirals….
